Every year, we celebrate National Child Day to recognize the rights of every child and young person. These rights are outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

This year, we’re focusing on what it means for every young person to have a safe place to belong, whether that’s at home, at school or in their community.

Post 2: Safe places and welcoming spaces

Suggested caption

Every child and young person deserves to feel safe and welcome. This includes having people they can trust, feeling accepted for who they are and knowing they can ask for support when they need it.

When children and young people feel included, respected and connected, they are more likely to feel that they belong.
